Anyone have a FLEX plate problem?
my 2015 has 1400 miles with no problem, until a couple weeks ago, when I heard a vibration/rattle at idle only. Finally got to see the corvette mechanic at my dealer today and said I have a front flex plate problem, and he will order the part, but it will probably be a two day job, taking out the transmission etc. Oh well, nothing I can do about it and I hope he does a good job. This mechanic has been working on corvettes for 44 years and he worked on my new '73 stingray back then. Anyone have this problem? Just curious!

I have 11000 miles and 4 track days and man the tires and brakes are great. But based on the ron fellows method taught at spring mountain I dont brake in the turns and that coupled with overcast track days here is Ohio has made parts last longer.

Doesn't sound too bad. Just got mine, so it won't go out until spring. But I plan on doing at least 15 days next year, so now at least I have an idea what to expect.

I have to have my flex plate replaced probably Monday and they will keep it a couple days. Any one have this problem. My 2015 only has 1400 miles and has a vibration/rattle under the hood.

Odd no, I actually replaced mine with an SFI approved unit while my motor was out but that's a first on the OEM. It does have a hub mounted to it for the shaft and if that hub wasn't balanced when it went on it would cause a vibration but that would be pretty tough to isolate unless they took it all apart and balanced that and the drive shaft as well?

My apologies regarding your vibration/rattle. Although I understand your displeasure, it's great that you've proactively reached out to your dealer for an official diagnosis. Keep us in the loop and updated on your service visit. If necessary, I can contact the dealer's Customer Experience Managers if you have additional questions. We'll look forward to your updates .

Got my car back today and the problem is solved, I hope. I don't hear any noise anymore and I hope the mechanic put everything back together correctly.

Thanks for your response. I took my car to Koons last Friday and they told me not to drive the car, especially any distance, so I did drive it home(couple miles). Took the car back Monday afternoon because it was going to rain Tue. & Wed.I believe they got the part on Tue. and as of yesterday, my car was torn apart(they let me look at it thru the window). It's suppose to be ready today? I hope the mechanic doesn't have any nuts or bolts left over, lol. The mechanic came out and explained what he was going to do, and stated it was a tough job. Keep your fingers crossed!
It's pleasing to hear how well the service process is being handled and we appreciate your positive outlook on the situation. Keep us posted on how the repair turns out. Any updates you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
