Let's not get ridiculous here.

They are nowhere near "close".

For all we know one is going up hill and the other downhill… or maybe the C7 is towing a C5

I sold my 2002 Z51 3LT M6 Coupe to purchase my 2014 Z51 3LT M7 Coupe and I can speak from experience as many others on this forum can. There is no comparison between these 2 cars. Granted I loved my C5 but the C7 is a much faster car and unless the C5 was heavily modified would it come close to the C7 performance in stock trim. Just my .02 cents

Do not get me wrong: The C7 feels a lot faster than the C5 and it actually is. It keeps pulling and pulling. 0-125mph, the C7 is more than 2s faster (which one can see in the video). Especially in the low end rpm band it is basically like night and day. However: What I was trying to show: The C7 should have been faster than what it is. A stock C6 LS3 Base Coupe, will pull a C7 on the Autobahn. And during a flat out, the C7 will even have to fight with a C5 Coupe, as the C7 is limited to 184mph (295km/h). Of course, the C5 will take a lot longer to reach speeds like this, however, it can (after ~8-10 miles of WOT).
Both videos where recorded on the same Autobahn with the same persons on board.
To make things a bit more interesting: '02 C5 Z51 A4 Coupe vs. '04 C6 A4 G92 Coupe
Both cars are pretty much head to head, until the C5 has to shift at 5,800 rpm, while the LS2 keeps pulling...
