Any tuners know how much HP the A8 from Stingrays can handle??

Any tuners know how much HP the A8 from Stingrays can handle??
Also how are they responding to the blowers and other mods?? I know the A6 was kind of a PIA with tuning and building them up.

Wait and see. No one knows. That being said, they have the highest factory torque rating of any GM auto tranny so far, so hopefully they should be good.

Transmissions don't care about HP, all they know is Torque. The new 8 speed is rated at 738 lb-ft in the Z06. No idea if the Stingray version has the same capacity.
WE do know the Stingray version DOES NOT have as much cooling as the Z06 will get.

Hp tuners is working on it among other companies, it's the strongest auto they have ever built. I've seen some guys make sick power on stock 4l80es in 5000 pound trucks so I have high hopes for the 8 speed

Horse Power burns things up,
Torque Breaks them.
So if a Transmission does not break at the peak Torque level of the engine there is a way to add enough cooling to the transmission oils so it will not blow up due to the amount of HP available.
Thus it is TQ that limits the Tranny, not the HP.

The JTM car listed above has had several track passes and ran at Pocono last weekend very well making it to the finals in it's class.
So far so good, but time will tell. I think that is the highest HP A8 car out there right now, especially track tested that I have seen.
The A8 feels light years ahead of the A6 to me.
