Just to clarify Brent.
In the pic you have Z51 wheels, not sure if they are 18/19 repros with base tires, or actual Z51 wheels/tires (or ZF1).
Reason I ask is I have had no luck with the base 18/19 tires at any of the local tracks. I dont want to invest 1000.00+ in a set of drag radials/wheels to make a couple passes, but if you are on the base tires I may take a trip to BG and see how it does, just hate to drag it 230 miles one way to spin the tires

IMHO the C7 autos are definitely within C6Z's ballpark
On the street the auto will launch and shift better more consistently. Let's face it most c6z drivers we see on the street won't know how to launch or shift their cars well enough to keep up with a C7 that can launch and shift like a bat outta hell (not sure how a bat can shift but wtvr)
At this level (sub-12 1/4 times) it'll take a truly skilled stick driver to keep up with / beat an efficient auto car with a slight (relative) power/weight disadvantage from a dig, on the street.

I see the Z06 winning the roll down battles fairly easy.
Still has 505 and less weight. The Auto loses
a lot once off the line. Side by side the Z06 will walk away esp
after 70-80 mph!
The new Auto's are big advantage is the 1/4 mile with the better 60ft . Otherwise not as much

A stock 455-460hp C7 LT1 will NEVER trap higher than 124mph, automatic or manual.
But even 122/123mph is still pretty damn impressive for a stock/'base engined' Corvette.
If they ever increase the power of the LT1 (possible) or come out with a lighter weight track package of some sort (unlikely) then maybe it could possibly go quicker/faster of course.

The OP got about all there is! Nice work!

if you want to drag race the auto is hard to beat, for the track stick
the auto will eventually heat up I believe at the track
they are working to cool it down, but with the big doggie Z06 coming that may be a problem
like to hear from owners of the A8 that road race too!!
I'm dying to paddle shift a turbo c5 I have
may have to just turbo a c7 instead!!

I've never drag raced so I have no idea what I am talking about.
How can a base A8 Stingray doing an 11.4 when the Z06 w/7SPD was clocked at 11.2? Is it the Aero kit slowing it down?
I would've thought another 190 hp and tq would amount to more than a .2 second faster time.

when you get on top end, you are starting to get downforce but not enough to kill the MPH which is a bit better indication of power
the z06 will get into the 10s with the right track and driver

I have both and so I'm not full of illusion's! I like both!
That's what real corvette guys do! Why hate on the C6 Z6?
Best true Corvette ever Made. The missing tech and weigh missing are nice! Not saying the C7 isn't a great car.
But thinking the C7 is faster stock to stock is off base.
