Tune - 20HP
Tune + Headers - 25HP

Headers are worth a lot more on a built motor or heads/cam setup, unless of course you are just going for exhaust note.

Headers are only worth 5hp over just a tune alone?

Nah you're reading that wrong. You should see 45 total with a tune and header. 35-50 really is what is the going outcome. Depends on the dyno really.

I wanted to do that and a cola air intake!! I want to make a thread and see if it's worth it.

He was reading it right....I may have been slightly exaggerating but not much. Stock motors that are already tuned don't seem to be gaining a lot by adding headers.

Adding headers without a tune will lean out the tune temporarily and show an increase on the dyno.

Long tubes are much more valuable and show their advertised gains with a stroker motor or supercharged application.

What about the member here brent I think his name is. Just did headers and a tune on an A8 and ran an 11.3 at 126mph. That's pretty nice for just those mods.

Do drag radials affect the trap speed?? I'm not being a smart *** I'm really asking. Plus picking up 4mph with a tune and headers is a pretty good pick up imo.

Yes, drag radials can improve MPH if you are traction limited at any point after initial launch (as long as initial launch isn't TOO traction limited).

He picked up 4 MPH and .3 seconds. That's between 30 and 40 HP. If drag radials picked up at least 1-2 depending on 60 fts, I haven't looked, then that leaves 1-2 tenths for headers and tune.....that is 10-20 HP and one can easily pick up 15-20 HP with a tune alone. That leaves 5-10 HP for the headers? On a stock engine, sounds right to me.

Give us a call. We can get you taken care of on a killer setup for the headers and tune. My C7 picked up 45/40 with headers and a tune.
