With my C6 LS3, I never installed the sensor. I just put E85 in the tank and tuned it for that fuel specifically. I wasn't able to go back to pump gas, but it was easy to just work with E85 only.

That said, it seems others have done the sensors on the C6. I would imagine it's nearly the same process, even down to the same sensor. The ECU's might be different however, and the Pin might be located in another location.

Dave, good to see you in this thread. Dave is GM using the same ECU Pins they have been using on all GM computers for years now??
I have a bunch of ECU pins for the older 411 ECUs, here is a pic, just wondering if this would plug into the E92

Thanks T/A! I'm just excited to have finally gotten my project completed. I have spoken with Trifecta Tuning, and they are planning on either shipping my car to their location, or flying out to my home in Indianapolis to develop a tune for resale. All this work will have been well worth the effort. Car should be ready for spring

I agree, I would think upgrades to the fuel system would be needed to gain any meaningful power much more than 100 hp over stock as you need to flow 30% more fuel and the stock system doesn't have the head room

great for a stocker to gain a few poinies, but wouldn't direct port meth work better to add more fuel?

you can stay with the factory tune and use a small ecm like a megasquirt or something to control another set of injectors

I'd love to see tuning on dual fuel with the c7 and how to mix a piggy back computer on top of the factory tune to add fuel under wideband 02 control as needed

that way I don't need to jack with anything on the factory ecm, and can swap back the factory manifold if there are any warrenty issues which is pretty easy on the new vettes

LS3 you get it going yet?

I have a round of mods I am about to do and the sensor is one of them.
If Trifecta hasn't set you up with a tune and you want to see if everything is working properly have someone with HP or EFI live scan Alcohol content on the scanner, 93 octane usually shows around 4-8 percent.

Nothing will report if the flex fuel feature is not activated in the tune.

I just installed the beta tune this morning. Awaiting confirmation that the signal is being picked up on my data log. If all goes well, I will fill it up with E85 tonight. More details to come!

Ok, Sensor works! My install is officially a legit step by step successful tech guide! Currently it's reading my 93 pump gas at 10.6936% Ethanol. When I get off work, i'm going to put 5 gallons of E85 in the tank to see if that reading goes up. If that goes well, i'm going to fill the tank up and drive on it until Empty. Next steps will be another refill of pure E85 then dyno tune!

If you can't tell, i'm extremely excited!

NICE!!!
Glad all the wiring worked like it should. I am going to do my Power just like you did (that's what I have been worried about)

That's a little high for 93, but I am glad its reporting (know its working)

EDIT: E85 is a $1.75 here vs $2.85 for 93 (on the rise too)

In Indiana our pump gas is 10% Ethanol, so it's spot for the most part. Our E85 is around the same price, and $1.75 is some cheap race gas

OK, I ran a 50/50 blend last night, and the car is running great! I will send another update once I go full E85

Update: I put 5 gallons of E85 in last night, and the ECU is now picking up 50.3% Ethanol!!! I'm going to burn the rest of this tank, and then fill the tank up with only E85. Great news! Now just need to schedule some Dyno time to build a powerful reliable tune

Default 6.2 silverado flex fuel looks like all it needs is a sensor

Hey guys read this today and doing some research on my 2015 6.2 silverado under the truck near the gas tank is a plug that will fit the 13577429 flex fuel sensor check the 12v and gound bingo power
Then I followed the white singal wire leading near ecu so far so good
Then open the x1(if it's the top one on the ecu) connector pin #38 Has white wire

so am I going right way about this
is this the right connector and pin

Ordereding 13577429 sensor
Have hp tuner

Thx for any more advice
