Default Diablo intune 93 tune for 14-15 C7 question

I could bother Kracka AGAIN but he has been helpful enough. I just purchased the new handheld in tune for my 15 Z51 A8 car. I was planning on using their 93 tune and tuning out the AFM system. My question is if I am somewhere that doesn't have 93 gas available as an option and I am forced to use 91 can that harm the motor??? Or will it simply not make as much power as it would with a tank of 93 in it?? Thanks !!

The InTune comes with both 93-octane (Diablo) and 91-octane tunes Run the 91 tune for 91-92 octane fuels, and the Diablo for 93+. It also has tunes for use with the AFE intake if you ever decide to modify your car further.

LOL I should have known you would reply Chris ! No but what I mean is say I tune the car for the diablo 93 tune. I don't keep the handheld unit with me and I am on a road trip and the best fuel I can find is 91. Will that hurt the car or is that ok it just won't perform as well ??

Oh, I get what you mean. If you're forced to run 91-octane you can keep your 93-octane Diablo tune, just be easy on the car and don't do any hard acceleration. Moderate acceleration up to highway speeds and cruising down the highway or around town will be no issue though!

The Diablo InTune box fits very nicely in the storage compartment in your trunk though, if you decide you would like to carry it with you.

Make sure you have good gas if you go the 93octane tune. Otherwise the 91 tune makes better power. I noticed that on the dyno with our shop car.

The cool thing is if you decide to do headers down the road we have a tune for the diablo hand held for TSP headers & cold air kit!!

My advice would be to run the 91 tune if there is some chance you may get stuck running 91 octane in the tank

aside from your tuning how much HP would one realize from going to 93 from 91 octane, that's just gas alone??

Hello Kracka, being a seasoned forum member, I wanted to ask you what your opinion is on this... I have a 2014 C7 auto, Z 51. I loaded the Intune 91 octane/AFE tune. I love it. The only parameter I changed was the firm shift feature to the tune. Would you recommend any other changes to the added parameters I have control over (fuel on wot?). Just wanted your thoughts. I know I can get custom tunes via data log, but if I just wanted to use the Intune, whats your thoughts.
Thanks,
Dan

I would leave the fuel, timing, etc. at the Diablo pre-set values. You can feel free to adjust the shift settings, throttle boost, and AFM/DoD settings to your liking.

I would imagine you just need to tell TSP when ordering the headers and they should be able to email you a modified tune. I don't have any specifics regarding their policies or pricing though.
