Default Drag strip settings for the C7 Auto

A friend asked me how to set his C7 for our upcoming club trip to the drag strip. It is completely different from my C6. Anyone have any recommendations. Example traction control on or off, transmission in sport. It's just not the same as a C6.

Traction control off, put it in Track, don't stall it (leave off idle) and stomp it out of the hole and never lift.

What I've gleaned from reading....

Put it in track. Leave it in Drive. Depress the button 2 times. Set the conditions to "Dry"
Press hard on the brake. Stomp the gas to the floor until the RPMs settle. Slip foot off brake and don't lift on the gas pedal until you pass through the traps.

I'm sure I screwed it up somehow but that's whats in my mind about "Drag Strip" actions. Since I don't hit the strip any more, you might do well to read what others say that actually make runs.

Exactly what TA Kid said... The only thing that I found worked better for me was putting it in touring mode. I had better 60 ft's and et's. Loosed up the suspension causing the car to squat more and felt like it left better. Could have just been coincedence and all in my head though, but, it ran better times every time.

If you put it in touring, are you capable of using launch control? I thought launch control was only available in the Track mode?

Upon further review, you must be in Track mode to use the Launch Control system.
