This is what the manual states for 2014. So what is the proper M7 fluid? I like to change my diff and trans fluid early. In the past it has always been dexron for the T56, but who knows what it is for these cars -- ??

Are they using dexos? lol...

It's ATF fluid. I'm not sure what the specific GM fluid labeling is, but if you go aftermarket Redline D4 ATF is their correct stuff.

This is the latest from the 2015 manual. Manual transmission fluid GM part # 88861800. As Kracka said it's ATF fluid, but I seem to recall there may be friction modifiers added to the GM fluid for the synchros (?).
