Default Boost/Air-Fuel Gauge

Is anybody selling a good gauge for the C7 yet? If you have tuned on boost, you will know that the boost level can't be read on the new C7.

Thanks

Randy, I have the same gauges on order. I am going to use two DM-6 gauges for boost and AFM and a :m-100 OBD touch so I can monitor everything else from the OBD port. Can I ask what you ordered for the pods? I know you made it but what pod pillar did you cut them off of?

I use the Innovate MTX gauge(s) for boost & AFR.

Attachment 48368872

Need to get gauge hoods for them - damned super-reflective glass.

I ordered a universal 3 gauge pillar pod off ebay , and cut them and trimmed them to the contour of the C7 pillar, Then epoxied then on then drilled a 1" hole under the pods for wire exit. Then covered it in black suede to match my suede interior

I seriously love that - you should be really proud.

I know how much of a pain that was - I'd love to pay you to make one for me, but the last one I did for my GTO way back when wasn't worth the aggravation unless it was for my own car.

I'm flat out shocked that we don't have a single pillar mod yet. The pillars aren't even that expensive.

Thanks,You are right, It was very hard to do, to get them at the right angle so each pod would not hide one another and the hardest part was covering them. I have a lot of time and trial and error in it.

Yes, I bought a set from a member on here , My factory A-pillars are suede and didn't want to mess them up. Just a heads up , The Stock A-pillars that are covered in fabric are a pain in the *** to remove, Its like fussed on to the pillar and leaves the white cotton backing witch need to be scraped off for the fabric adhesive to stick when recovering them. I bought both pillars and covered them both to make shore they matched

I noticed that - it's like it's flocked and glued. The thought occurred to break out an orbital.

I tried every thing I could thing of to remove it, heat gun, chemicals, sanding , wire bush on bench grinder, but the best was to scrape it with a razor blade.

The wire brush was my next thought - crazy that even it wasn't the best choice.

I could see using a window scraper (flat razor blade holder) like you've suggested. Just takes time, as you mentioned!

Theta I have one supposed to make me one from carbon fiber. I ordered a trim panel for him to use for making the molds. He has worked in the aircraft industry making components so I'm sure he is qualified. We will see how it goes.

Out of curiosity where did everyone route their wiring for their O2 sensor and the red box for the PLX wideband. I have purchased one but not installed it. Was thinking about doing it when I do my clutch if I don't chicken out and take the car back down to VR to get the clutch installed.

Very cool - keep me posted on that. I'd like one from fiberglass or rough carbon, and then have it covered with sueded microfiber like Randy did.

My wiring all sits in the potential space between the dash, A-pillar, and speaker area. The wires run down the loom to the typical 'clutch hole', and connect out to the external connectors, fuses, and sensors.

Be sure to let us know what you think of those - always hard to tell the quality of CF from online pics.

Unfortunately, no. The BCM is locked tight, and there is no PID provision for any of these displayed readings.

The only other method would require a thin gauge to be mounted in the HUD display area, and then somehow display a mirrored image. Not aware of any gauges on the market that can do that.

Aeroforce Interceptor or Dash Logic so you won't need a pod or bunch of gauges.
