Default Drag Radials for a 19" wheel

What size and what brand is everyone running on the stock 19" or 20" rim without the tire rubbing? Any help will be appreciated.

I've got the TSW Nurburgrings. Anyone running a 305 on these? With the offset and extra .5" width I fear they'd stick out too far and look ricer.

If this is a drag strip only set up, it won't matter. If you are running drag radials on the street all the time, get a proper offset. Stock rear is +79. I think TSW is about +67 which almost 1/2" too far. (A 25mm difference is 1 inch)

A somewhat ill advised proposition is to have the backside of the wheel mount face machined a little to effectively increase the offset of the wheel. You'd have to ensure caliper clearance and only take off a little bit of thickness. I've seen it done but it's not exactly a quality way to approach mounting wheels.

I would consider stepping down to a 18" wheel... These 19/20 wheels combos leave a lot to be desired when I comes to purchasing tires. You need sidewall for traction...

People are doing amazing things on 19"-20" radials these days.
A well prepped car can fly on them....don't let the stangs take all the glory!

Nice!

i'd like to see some of the radial races hold a street tire class for radial cars running 19-20" wheels, there would be some awesome racing!

If my track doesnt reopen soon I will be selling:

18x11 Forgeline GA3s +77 offset with Mickey Thompson Drag Radials 305s (0 passes)
18x4 Forgeline GA3s with front runners (M+H?) - I think Ben@WeaponX put a few passes on these but they look brand new.

My track closed at almost the same time I bought these wheels and tires so I have not been able to use them.

Not for sale today, but maybe very soon!!
