Depends on what you want. For a bolt on blower, there are TONS of good shops. For a race car crazy build, the list gets smaller. Places like Vengance, LMR, ECS, FSP, AMP, RPM, D3E are all top notch.
Then you get into more crazy stuff like full chassis builds/standalone wiring/fab and that list gets smaller.

I swear there are 10 RPMS though so maybe I wasn't talking about Fran.
I think there are different level shops for sure. Which ones can build a cage? Fab custom parts? Tune a stand alone? Build a motor? A lot of the "performance" shops these days are bolt on shops that don't tune in house, don't have a welder, and do nothing but slap heads/cais on with a mail order tune and hope that works out. Good to see shops like some of the good ones mentioned doing so well and people should support them.

FSP just finished up a 416 build on mine, LME did the bottom end work. I only had a chance to drive it home last night but they have worked on my car over the past year in different stages and I am completely satisfied with them Matt and his crew.

I was at AGP the other day bugging them like I normally do when an RPM called to order a turbo kit. I told Ben if it was Fran@RPM give him a better deal but it was a different one out if LA or down south. I tried at least.

Honestly LPE is more of a specialty package type place. I would much rather goto a lot of the listed vendors on here.

Because they are grossly overpriced for what you get.
Try this once...
Call them up and ask them what $10K will get you for your C7 in the performance department. Then call a shop like Vengeance and ask the same question. I know where my money would go if I had to pay people to do the work...
And for the record, I have had NO personal dealings with vengeance. But the product that they put out speaks for itself.
All these companies mentioned are vendors here. Take a peek at who is making the big power and winning races. You see the same few names float to the top every time.

I did a lot of research before I started my project, but my goal was to find a local shop that could do the work and had a good reputation. To me the difference between somebody who can install parts and somebody who can actually make your car run good with the parts it has on it.
I ended up using West Bend Dyno Tuning after talking to three Chicago area shops, two never gave me a quote and one gave me a quote that I absolutely choked on. Before I selected the shop I used though I made sure that they would go to Vengance for my tune, Vengance remote tuned my C7 and despite the knowledge of West Bend, I know Vengance has way more experience tuning this car.
Vengance/Mike did an exceptional job of making my parts work great and give me the power I was looking for. I think my car is finally going back together this week after a protracted wait for the collection of parts to come together.

So true. Futral Motorsports fits that first statement. Great shop that has been around a long time. On FB and sponsors a few sites but for the most part lets cars like mine do the marketing for them.

Guys i'm surprised Lingenfelter was only mentioned by one person. I was actually checking there packages out last night. Prices aren't bad, not to mention you get a 3yr/36k mile warranty which for me is huge!

You pay for the name and warranty. If you want performance you choose someone else.
