Muffler Delete "Option"
Like C7Jake, I have just deleted my mufflers, and replaced them
with straight pipes, adding Corsa tips.
Mine is a NPP car, but I think the removal would have been the same.
It took me 4 "shops" to find one that would do the job, but I found one this week, and we did it this morning.
WOW...... much louder (maybe 20%... and I did have the NPP fuse pulled),
and it now "barks", and deceleraton gurgles and barks nicely.
Here are a few shots of the install (it was raining here !!!!!!).
I'll try to get some sound video clips when the weather is better.
Both Mufflers removed
Dry fit Left Side
Dry fit Right Side
Dry fit Both
Dry fit Tips
Tips installed looking out the back
Right side installed
Left side installed
Both pipes done

Awesome - it's catching on! Love straight pipes.
Connecting pipes they used look a little small, but it probably won't be an issue. The AFM already brings the diameter down so I wouldn't worry too much.

So today I washed it to get all the road dirt off it from yesterday.
Of course, it is raining today too, so no road video.
But I could get a short video if it while it is in the garage.... so....

I drove from the dealer to the muffler shop--and with 6 miles on the odometer cut the mufflers off and installed the Flowmaster 4" stainless tips---I love it !!! just a bit louder than an open NPP --these cars with 4 cats are really not that lould with no mufflers---It gets quieter after it warms up too---

"What codes were thrown when the engine light came on?", he asked presumptiously.

You guys deleting the muffles, will someone do me a favor?
How big is the exhaust right after the muffer before the exhaust tips, is it 2.5 inches?
Doing a custom exhaust tip, plan to start on it tomorrow.

Best sound out there.... ARH headers, x pipe, high flow cats & Muffler delete. People I thought would have said ahhh, to loud, didn't.... They said it sounds awesome. I'm glad I did it.

For some strange reason, I like the way the OEM tips look. It seems more high end. The inside is dark and the outside is shiny. The Corsa looks shiny inside and out, giving it a cheap look.
What do you guys think? Am I strange?
