Default HallTech

On their website, HallTech has a new velocity stack/tube which replaces the factory piece, using the stock air box and eliminating the stock air resonance chamber. This is the way I will go, along with a larger, higher flowing filter. Green Filters makes one.

Halltech all the way. I have the carbon cai installed on my 2015 z51 and I noticed the difference as soon as I drove away from the mechanic. Looks awesome, lots more room in the engine bay, way lighter then the stock and allows much more air flow. The Hallteck filter is almost twice the size of the stock. A little expensive but worth it.

I had a Halltech MB103 on my C6Z and it worked very well. Now running an AFE on my '14 Stingray and I like it a lot as well. So I don't know there is much difference in performance: Halltech = quality and Carbon Fiber. AFE = better price point. If money is no object go for the Halltech. If you are price conscious go for the AFE.

As far as mods go, the AFE with TB, Corsa X, and DiabLew tune and it really changed the car. Stock was kind of boring, now she barks!

Halltech
Had one on my 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007 Z06 and now on my 2015 Z51A8. As far as R & D, no one comes close and I believe he was the first back in 1999. Awesome guy and stands behind his product without question. I had my 07 and 15 installed within 150 miles of dealer on way back to CA. Since I stopped unannounced Jim did the install himself along with his wife helpeing on the 2015, now that is the personal touch.

Default Gasket

Does HallTech provide a gasket at the air box where it bolts onto the car similar to the stock one?

Halltech looks way better, built way better. More performance! Cost more, but it's worth it on a 60K+ Vette!

Marketing teams can claim almost any number they wish...

I would suggest listening more to the other members here. Generally, we'll try to steer you in the correct direction.

I'd have to go on trust, only had a 100 miles on the car an know way did I do anything to form a basemark. I just did a 40 to 100 time, 5.8 sec which isn't too bad from what I've seen.

I just looked on the Halltech site. I do not see any carbonfiber on the parts?

Edit: nevermind...It's the $1200 one. Makes sense now. I was thinking I was about to get a cf intake for $500 bucks! haha

I have had a couple of the Halltechs with very good results in my C6s. Also there are at least 3 or 4 shops that have nothing to do with halltech that have reported some pretty good reports and HP gains. Also Jim is very reachable.
