Default Alternative **** for MGW flat stick shifter

Hey guys I just ordered the MGW flat stick shifter and I'm not really looking forward to having that ball ****... has anyone replaced the ball with something else? Any recommendations? Thanks!

Hmmmm. Maybe you should have worked this detail out before you ordered the shifter?
However, you should be able to get an adapter to fit just about any **** you want...

I actually prefer the shifter ball over the stock leather ****..

Well my order is still on 2 week backorder, and just a simple **** wasn't a deal breaker lol, so it's not too big a deal. I'd just prefer something with less shine. I feel like it doesn't complement the flat paint of the interior. I actually kind of like their gripper shifters --

I ordered mine with the standard shaft as I don't like the ball. My hand rests on the shifter and I like the feel of the suede.

I ordered my MGW about 3 weeks ago and they called and told me it would be 2 weeks but I guess they are behind. Hoping mine comes this week.

Mine came in a week, guess I ordered at the right time. You'll love it, best mod I've done for driving enjoyment.

Check MGW site for thread size and pitch, I'm pretty sure it is the same as a stock C5 shaft in which case there are many many options available from many different sources.
