Can someone tell me the specs of the rotors? Diameter and thickness? Also is the bolt pattern for the C7's 5x120? I have a ZL1 I track and the rotors are really expensive and I'm thinking that this may be an option. I know the C6 Z06 (non carbon ceramic) are 14" x 1.3" cross drilled and CHEAP

Default Z51 brake kit

I'm assuming you already sold your Z51 brake kit?

Default Splash Guards

FYI, you may want to replace the base splash guards for the Z51 guards while the rotor is off. The base guards will restrict air flow if you ever install the cooling rings when tracking the car.

Just a quick question: I was told (somewhere by someone...?) that the rear brake calipers could be use when changing over from a stock brake system to a Z51 brake set up.

Would you happen to know if that's true? Do the rear Z51 calipers look the same size as the stock ones you removed?

Thanks,

Sal

Online from somewhere like GM Parts Direct or the dealership, if you need them fast and are feeling rich.

Rear calipers between the base and Z51 models are the same. Only difference is color. Rear rotors are different due to the slotting, but dimensions are identical. Hope it helps.

Would you happen to know the Part Number for the Z51 Splash Guards. I am upgrading base brakes to Z51 brakes.

I found the old receipt from GMPartsDIRECT.com and assume they are GM part numbers:
23446730 SPLASH SHIELD, LEFT
23446731 SPLASH SHIELD, RIGHT
I hope this helps.
There is normally a parts diagram with part numbers on these parts sites.

No, however I do have a set of four (front and rear) brand new (never installed) original equipment red Z51 calipers and two rear RacingBrake rotors for sale here under the classifieds that I'd be willing to provide a package deal.
Thanks,
Joe

I'm in the process of getting the parts ready to do this upgrade to my base Stingray. It appears that left splash shield 23446730 is a discontinued part. Does anyone know the new part number for the left shield?

Thanks for the reply. All of the online GM parts stores show the part in stock, but every time I try to order it, I get an email the next day saying it is a discontinued part and unavailable. I have tried this with 4 different online stores like Trunk Monkey, Tasca, Chevy online parts, etc. with no luck. My guess is that GM changed the part number on the left shield and replaced it with another and the challenge will be to find out that new part number.

Ahhh got it. I would recommend calling your local Chevy parts department and have them pull up the part number for you. They should be able to do that.

Yeah, I'm stopping by my Chevy dealer today to get the part number. I'll post the updated part number in your thread for future reference for those who do this upgrade in the future. Thanks for the how to thread btw.
