Looking for a "on" with ignition or constant 12 volt source in the engine compartment. The easier the better.

Constant will be the power lug, itself.
Switched-on with ignition has a bevy of options - using a Micro2 fuse tap, you can use most any of the fuses up at the front fuse box. Fuse 42 is the most famous example of an ignition-on fuse - that's the NPP actuator fuse with a 20A Micro2 fuse.

Thanks Much, I took a closer look today and found the power lug under it's flip-up plastic cover on the back of the fuse box.
Looks like I would have to make a small slot on the side of the fuse box cover to run the wire out if I decided to tap a fuse.
