love headers, both for sound AND power. . .but they're not apples to apples. cost of x pipe is 1/2-1/3, doesn't need a tune, and therefore shouldn't affect warranty.

I've seen at least one post about a forum member that got a CEL after the cat-less x-pipe install. Anyone here have that issue? According to the forum Borla rep that should not be the case.
Secondly, I'm assuming that it also shouldn't cause any errors that would picked up during an OB2 emissions check. Is this correct? In Austin you are allowed 1 error but I don't want to go there.....which is what I had on my C6 with headers (and CEL tuned out).
I'm considering this mod as I'd like a little more volume with the NPP, more V8 throaty but also don't want any drone (which is subjective of course).

The secondary cats in the factory X-pipe are unmonitored, meaning there will not be any CEL or OBDII failures with their removal. I've been running the Borla X-pipe for about 13 months/10k miles and have had no issues what so ever.

Definitely louder, deeper, and throatier when the NPP valves are open, but when closed cruising around in Tour mode, it's no louder than stock. I did not notice any change in exhaust smell, even while idling in the garage. Nothing like the cars I used to run with with catless testpipes!

You'll have to wait a few months. . She's sleeping until April. And yes I was called a woosie in the "cars were meant to drive year round" thread. I'm saving it for the next owner....

Have it on my Z06. Same results.
