Z51 vs. Porsches at Gateway trackday
Here is my video from one of the advanced group sessions at Gateway Motorsports Park with the Porsche Club this month.
Video is from my helmet mounted GoPro 3 Black combined with data from an AiM Solo using DashWare for the overlays.
The car is a 2014 Z51 with the base suspension and exhaust. All I did to prep it for the track was change the brake fluid to DOT4, attach the rotor cooling rings, change to 10-w50 oil, and get the 2015 spec track alignment (-2.0 camber all around). I've also added a Z06 front grill to help with cooling.
I felt even on the stock tires it could have used some more camber based on how worn the outer shoulders were. I also felt the stock pads were lacking in bite, though thankfully they seemed to hold up fine during the sessions and over the weekend.

Nicely done! The car looks pretty stable--nice catch @ ~3min.
My first track event is Fri on the Daytona 24 Hr course. Looking forward to it. Have done similar prep, although more front camber & less rear.
We'll see how she does.
Thx for sharing.
