Default MGW shifter taller than stock?

Hi Guys,

I had my car in for service and just had them install the MGW shifter. Shifts are very precise, but it feels like the shifter is at least an inch or so taller - this is with the stock ****.

Am I crazy - and are there any adjustments available? If so I'll ask them to lower it a bit.

Thanks!

I don't think there is an adjustment but my MGW actually seems a bit shorter than the OEM. I am still using the stock **** as well.

there is an adjustment. there are two holes to screw your stock **** into an they put it in the top which makes it taller.

That seems like an easy fix? Also they did not install the stock rubber boot cover - the MGW instructions say to modify it slightly. Think I should ask them to pull it apart and install the rubber boot?

Thanks!

they might not have threaded the lock nut & washer all the way to the base of the shift **** spindle. there is a degree of height adjustment inherent in the design.

reference this video, starting right around 11:00.

The shifter shaft is threaded in to the shifter thus height is completely adjustable
