1. Installation. You say that "once the front bumper is removed you can get to the rear of the crash bar". The last time I had the nose off my C7, it seemed like there was quite a bit of hardware behind the front cross member at that location.
eg:

2. Strength. A tow hook should be able to bear the strain of pulling a 3,000 lb car out of a sand pit (sometimes without the aid of wheels that roll). This design puts the entire load on an area defined by a 3/4" washer. A larger backing plate would instill greater confidence. (I guess your design allows me to install my own if I wish).
most likely that rod will bend. it is all thread and only as strong as the minor threads, ours are made of chrome moly not threaded all the way and you do not need to drill hole in the bumper just use the door on the rear. our receivers are 20mm and will fit OEM C7s 3/4 will not. it would be cheaper to do in 3/4 but would not be a common size within the C7s. The front receiver will never pull though, OEM is just welded in one spot. if worried about pulling though the crash bar just use a bar and not the washer.

they are in same location except you can move them to any place on the crash bar if you want to. Our rear does not hang down like the OEM it pulls strait with car.

Don't all years have the rear receiver already?

Do you sell just the front setup without the rear?

thanks

I ordered them as soon as they got in stock and I finally had the chance to install the front one. It feels ridiculously light and I'm loving the high fashion finish. I'll install the rear one tonight!

My '16 Z doesn't appear to have an oem threaded hole. All it has is a drilled hole through the cross beam, no threads. ????

Default hooks

Just wondering why there are 2 different size tow hooks and why are they sold as a pair? Will the front tow hook not fit the rear or vice versa. I have a 2017 Z and it came factory with front and rear tow hook receivers. I'm looking to get a tow hook just in case I ever need one. BTW how much are they? Thanks in advance, BART

We sell one tow hook with 4 inch threads to work for front and rear, we also sell a set of tow hooks that has a long one turned down for the front, and a short one for the back.
a pair is $179 1 to use for front OR rear is $89 they are red, black or unpainted.

Default Length of tow hook

I have one question. I've been looking for an aftermarket towhook kit for quite some time so very happy to find one. However, the hook seem very close to the hood / rear bumper. Going through bumps does the hook not hot the hood / rear bumper and cause damage? Also I presume this should work with the normal Z51 grill as well and not just the z06 one?

Regards, Jan
