Default aFe POWER C7 PFADT Series Tri-Y Headers/X-Pipe Now Available!

aFe POWER is excited to release the PFADT Series Tri-Y Headers for the 2014-2015 Corvette C7, with the 6.2L LT1 engine. They are expertly crafted of 1-7/8” 16 gauge 304 Stainless Steel with a brushed finish for the headers, and the 3” inlet and 3” outlet for the x-pipe, provide a stunning luster as well as offer maximum protection against corrosion and wear.

Quick Data Points:

• Fits 2014-2015 Chevy Corvette C7 6.2L (LT1) V8
• Tri-Y design combined with 4-2-1 merge collector provides best balanced power throughout the RPM range.
• 1 7/8” 16-Gauge Stainless Steel to provide maximum protection against corrosion.
• Header and X-pipe combo provides a hassle free install, and can be used with stock exhaust system when used together.
• Headers and X-pipe come with V band flanges, which provide a superior seal that requires no maintenance or need for adjustment over time.
• 100% TIG welded for superior strength and durability.
• Available with cats or as a cat-less application

We use the Tri-Y design combined with our exclusive 4-2-1 merge collector, providing the best balanced power you can possibly get for your C7 Corvette. You may ask yourself, what does the Tri-Y design do differently to achieve these gains compared to other header designs? We have paired each length of opposite firing cylinders, which are tuned specifically from the primary lengths to provide maximum scavenging effect. When this effect is achieved, the results are increased power and torque throughout the RPM band, versus increasing power to only a single point in the RPM range.

Great care and consideration was given choosing the length and diameter for the primary tubes. If they are too small you run the risk of losing power and working the engine harder to expel the exhaust gases from the combustion chamber. Too big will cause exhaust gases to expand and decrease velocity, thus decreasing a scavenging effect.

aFe POWER has always believed in simplified installs, and these header/x-pipe combo are no exception. We retain all of the factory sensors for a simpler install without any hassle. Included also are O2 sensor extensions for a simple plug and play. aFe has made this a straight bolt-on system, with no cutting, welding, or drilling needed to install this upgrade, and will bolt on with your existing stock or aftermarket exhaust with the x-pipe combo included.

Our headers and x-pipe become one with V- band flanges, which offer superior leak free sealing between both components. High quality laser cut header flanges ensure a superior seal at the head. You will read owners of other systems have to constantly adjust their headers because of the slip fittings leaking. Not with the aFe PFADT Series, the V-band flanges remove any unnecessary maintenance to adjust, or keep an eye on leaks when you drive hard. High quality laser cut header flanges ensure a superior seal.

Corvette C7 owners will have the chance to purchase this stunning header/x-pipe combo, in either catted or cat-less options. Our system includes two high quality, high flowing stainless steel cats that have a cell count of 200, which offer maximum flow and performance you can get out of this system.

We pride ourselves in producing these headers in house by our certified craftsmen. The aFe PFADT series headers are 100% TIG welded by hand, from experts who do this constantly for a living. TIG welding which is used in 95% of a NASCAR cup car, ensures a strong bond that is difficult to break in high heat and high performance applications.

Install was a bit time consuming with a few header install attempts before removing the starter, oil cooler, and lowering the cradle an inch or so. Save yourself some time and do this during stock parts removal.

One of the 02 extensions had the wrong plug, (I trimmed the connector to make fit) and I also had to shim down one part of the tunnel brace about 1/8" to clear one of the cats. I got one of the very first kits so is possible this is already addressed.

If AFE would like to review my catted x pipe and or use my photos/vid publicly then I would be happy to send it in on exchange for cat-less version!

Here are my pics and sound clips (stock catback with npp open).
