C7 sway bars choices?
#21
Bingo.
Without looking at the data, if I was asked to guess I would bet on this being the case. If money was to be spent, aftermarket would be the way to go.
That being said, the A/M sway bar prices are higher on this car than any car I have ever modded...like almost double. Don't know if I should be surprised by that.

I expect the pricing to fall as they start moving units. Everything starts out expensive on this platform and settles out after a few months.
May be wrong, but that's my take on it. Right now, they need to recoup their R&D costs.

My thinking when I left parts counter was the zo7 bushing is much stiffer than z51/zo6 bushing and that could make a difference, maybe all your looking for, let's see what Theta comes up with and im making another trip to dealership tomorrow.

as we can see the front sway bar is the same on the z51, z51 mag-ride, zo6, z07. but what is the last bar? dealer said he can not order that one as of now. also about the rear bars it looks like their is only two bars-mag ride or no mag ride

i will have the zo7 bushing in hand by the weekend, i will post pictures and let you know how much stiffer they are/look than our z51 bushing, maybe this will be all you need to stiffen up the front( keep your bar add stiff bushing) total cost for front $16.00 also as you can see from my sway bar list today their is a new front bar coming soon(i hope) part # 20959434 i was driving the parts guy crazy to get me this bar untill he said their is no listing what bushing or end links are needed for this bar( the way things are looking my guess would be the base car bushing and endlinks LOL)

The Z51/Z06/Z07 all use the same front bar
The rear bar only change is non-mag Z51 then a mag ride Z51/Z06/Z07
This is why we did our bars....the car needed a bigger than what any of the factory cars were.
Yes our bars do use a stock bushing size, but the bar is way bigger than stock.

Let me know how the car does. Looking to gather more customer feed back.
From local customers here, the bars are working great and dropping times but it is nice to gather as much data as you can from the customer.

LG C7 Sway bars - - ???
ANTHONY -
Your website picture captions for the LG sway bars seem to be wrong, and the text description has conflicting info ("2-way", "3-way", "fixed" front or rear...)
These things are $1000/set (with good end links), so I have to ask these questions :
- is the FRONT bar 3-way adjustable per corner ?
- is the REAR fixed ?
if so, why not provide rear adjustability ?
- what bushings are included (delrin, rubber, poly, etc) ?
- do they need to be lubricated periodically to avoid binding/noise/stiction ?
if so, do you provide water-proof lube ?
and, do you provide schrader valve fittings in the bushing brackets to apply the lube ?
- what percentage stiffer then stock are the different settings for each bar ?
- are these bars hollow core or solid ?
- how easy are they to install ?
- how do you expect them to affect front to rear handling balance on a C7 Z51 coupe w/mag ride ?
Thanks for your time in responding !!

2 way adjustable per below post...
- is the REAR fixed ?

Yes, fixed rear. Cant answer the second part.
- what percentage stiffer then stock are the different settings for each bar ?
He stated 40% stiffer...but is that the front, rear, both...2 different settings? We don't know.
- are these bars hollow core or solid ?
Hollow (or "tubular" as he technically puts it). No idea on wall thickness.
I know I didn't answer much, but I'm interested in these as well and hoping to add fuel to your questions as I am also seeking further clarification.

The front bar has 2 connection holes at each end of the bar...
therefore 2 possibilities... firm or less firm.
The rear bar has 1 connection hole at each end of the bar...
therefore 1 possibility.

Wow...then no wonder he posted with the question...I was under the impression it was 3 slots per every picture I have seen and just explained by LG as 2-way adjustable over standard setting... (+/- % adjustability over the standard stiffness of the bar is what I thought they meant...)
So every picture i've seen on the net for this bar is not accurate of the bar itself. Cool...thanks for pointing that out.... changed my post.

I've run Pfadt Racing front bars on 2 C6 Vettes so far. They both had 3 adjustment holes per corner, so they are "3-way" adjustable. (They are REALLY nice. expensive, too...)
Same goes for a 3-way Porsche GT3 bar with custom-designed mounts for my 2000 Boxster S, as run nationally in SCCA SuperStock and A-Stock classes.
Properly designed bars can definitely be one of the more effective upgrades for a Stock- or Street-class autocrosser, with very few negative side-effects, even for a daily-driver.
I will be VERY interested in NTMD8R's results with his LG bars...

I think most of the other guys got the questions done before I could make it over here.
As for the pictures, yes I need to update that. The guy that was doing the website just grabbed the C5/6 bar pics when he did the new section so no...the pictures are not correct.
The ones I had posted on the car however are.
two way adjustable front, rear is fixed.

Sorry Anthony - can't glean any details about the adjustment holes, endlinks or bushings in those pictures.
And still need answers to my questions in post #32 above when you have the time.
Thanx.

RE: LG G7 Sway bars
Day 1 of a 2-day Autox.
We had 4 people driving the car because 2 people had broken cars
(they were putting on the event), so we let them drive ours.
9 runs each, 36 runs in total.
48.7 seconds was FTD.
Fastest time in my car was 49.9 (I didn't do it).
Which is great (it tells me what the car is capable of).
Of course, we are not running treadwear 60 tires... we are running R888s (treadwear 100)
Anyway... the car turns in much nicer.
You can definitely lose the back end though... it did come around
a couple of times.
I will change the front connection to "firm", and see what difference
that makes. (I expect it will make the rear a bit grippier).
Unfortunately I can't do this until late next week.
All in all I am very happy with the results.
I am getting wider wheels, and will get wider tires for them.
Should be killer then.
