Anybody Track Their Non-Z51 Stingray?
Thinking of getting non-z51 Stingray with 8 speed auto. I can't drive manual any longer due to back / neck neuro issues. I see that often the stingray with z51 is compared to 911s. Would the non z51 stingray be comparable in performance to the standard non s 911? I can't test drive these darn stingray to compare non z51 to z51 stingrays. Also, car will be mostly street driven, maybe light tracking couple times a year. Kind of weird, heard even some of the z51s are overheating at the track. What is the non z51 comparable to performance wise. I hear non z51 can do .1 g. Basically at times difference between non z51 and z51 is $7000.00-10000.00 in price. What about adding front and rear z51 sway bars to non z51 stingray? Ger.

In my humble opinion the Z51 pacakge with Magnetic Dampers are the only two options I would get on a Corvette, skip a level of trim and get this instead. I added the trim pieces on my own and it was way cheaper, the Z51 package installed from the factory is a bargain. The differential, dry sump, brakes, sway bars....no brainer
100 percent no brainer. You'll only regret not doing the z51 if you're wanting to track it.
