Default Boost tuners: MAF BARO

1.do you just disable the baro range code

2.do you do a 1 bar map break out (and where did you place the map for example in open air or in air filter inlet area/box)

And how do you feel this affects overall drive tuning and or DA compensation?

I am using option 2 fwiw but is in open air, thinking to move it to my s/c inlet to best simulate the original intent.

Thanks.

I would put it in the inlet. Most disable the code.

I would say why would you adjust the baro tables in your stock tune ?? On a D/D car I would want my car to adjust for variations in the barometer----maybe on a dedicated race car altering the baro settings would make the tuning somewhat more consisten if the baromter changest--But that still is a crap shoot---as the baro reading affects so many tables in your tune that it may or may not help---

the baro is mounted in the maf and sees boost on a boosted set up, IE no longer exposed to inlet pressures. i think *some* tuners just disable the code thrown when it goes literally 'off the charts'

so i am talking about relocating it to pre-boost location vs. just breaking it out to under hood pressure.

DSteck is going to make a harness for this specific purpose so don't rush into it.

cant you just replace the factory MAP with the LS9 sensor and then use the factory LT1 map and cut the wire for the baro and tapp the other two to get power and leave it outside the charge pipe in open air?

I assume you guys are breaking out the IAT as well. If so, I can do this the right way.

Dave I agree, we can use the screw type iat from a ctsv which is a m14 thread and use the Cadillac iat table with some axis adjustment

In a completely respectful way I ask what way is better so I can do it.

Simply plumb the OE MAP sensor into the charge pipe?

yes putting the sensor in the atmospheric pipe away from the elements, dirt, heat, etc.
