Default Best way to lower mag ride Z51?

I don't want to drop it all the way because where I live some roads could be a problem. I just wanted to lower it a little so it doesn't look like my Jeep

I'll only do it if it's not going to create any issues. I don't want rubbing or alignment problems. Just to simply lower it a little if no other complications will commence. What would be the best method? What would I need to purchase. Thanks guys

Just lower it on the stock bolts...

The aftermarket ones just let you go even lower, which it sounds like you don't want to do.

I lowered mine 3 turns each, and it dropped about 3/4" all around. Nice difference without messing things up. I think the stock bolts will let you go down at least an inch.

This was the end result:

Oh that looks nice. Ok if that doesn't mess anything up I'll go that route. You never have rubbing when hitting bumps or any problems from doing that ?

Can you explain exactly how you did it. I'm not very good at DIY projects

If you do a search on lowering someone a long time ago posted a very detailed step by step DIY process for lowering on stock bolts. Even if you typically aren't a DIY'er you can do this.

Basically, you just jack up the corner of the car you'll be lowering. Then put a jack stand or something under the spring (I put a folded towel on top of the jack stand as well to prevent scratching) and let down slightly and slowly to release the tension on the spring. Then take a 10mm ratcheting wrench and turn counterclockwise until you get where you want. I just took mine all the way down. If you aren't dropping it all the way be sure to keep track and count the turns. One done with that corner move to all others until complete. It will only taking 20 minutes or so to knock it all out.

*****************************

Ok, disregard my rambling. 10mm posted the step by step I was thinking while I was typing.

If you don't mind sharing, what are your mild track alignment settings? I am planning on going this route since I only track about 3 times per year and don't want to change it back after every track day.

Not a "Mag" but I did 4 turns. Scientific measurements are 4 fingers down to 3 fingers between the wheel well and tire.
I removed one tire at a time. Lowered the spring on a jack stand to relieve the pressure on bolt. Reach in with a 10mm ratcheting wrench and watch the top of the bolt to lower it the turns you want. Detail the tire and rim while they are off. install and do the next one.

Do you notice you scrape or bottom out more?? Some roads in Jersey are pretty crappy. Now I am getting nervous thinking I may be better off leaving it stock height Although it is just about an inch lower correct?? Shouldn't make much of a difference I hope. I could just be extra careful.
