Pulley Question?

Pulley Question?
Hey guys,
Just trying to get some clarification if anyone else is running the smaller pulley. I have a 14 automatic z51 with ECS, no restrictor plate with the standard pulley(4.1). Supporting mods right now just consist of ALKY single nozzle meth and ARH 1 7/8 LT w/ high flow cats. I've heard you can run the dual nozzle, turn up the meth and run the smaller pulley? Current setup I believe makes about 10 lbs and smaller pulley I believe is somewhere between 12-14? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Fairly certain it's the 3.75 blower pulley that will get you to 12-14 psi.

Ya I definitely would intend on dual nozzle for the meth and I always run 93 but I just didn't know if that would be enough or if anyone else has done it yet.

Sorry Nicholoso! We have been super busy so my forum presence has been down, I apologize.
If you have the base kit you have a 4.1 upper pulley and an 8.2" lower.
We typically stay with a single nozzle maxed out, you get a better spray pattern from one nozzle maxed then two not maxed.
If you remove the restrictor plate you will make around 10lbs and 650-700 rwhp.
If you swap out the pulley to a 3.75" you will be closer to the 800 area and 14 lbs of boost, but you will need additional fueling. Cam, or we have forum member "C6switchblade" who used a lash cap on the fuel lobe and is knocking on the door of 800 safely, fuel wise at least.
14 lbs of boost is then maxing out the alky kit so the spray pattern will be very good, we do not go to dual nozzle until we go higher in the boost. 18-20 lbs, even then my preferred method is direct port meth for better distribution to each cylinder, but not every customer is will to go to that expense.
I hope that helps, good luck with your build!

Nicholoso,
Got your PM but i figured i would answer here as more people may benefit. Part number you need is from GM is 12596509. It is a lash cap from an LS7 that you will install on the tip of your stock high pressure fuel pump. It is magnetic but I would still be very careful upon install. Should be worth approx 20% more fuel at full tilt. best part is that it only take about an hour to install and costs about 10 bucks!
Enjoy!

on a manual car with a lash cap you "might be close" gas tank pump will be super close too unless you have meth to take some load off it. Than yes you'll be fine, we have done a lot of different E85 combo's and make a fuel system to support the higher hp needs on e85.
