Default Went to VIR last weekend - totally confused about PTM

In Track mode, the only way I could get the nannies from activating the brakes was to turn off Traction Control & Stabilitrack by holding down the center button for something like 10 seconds.

I was never able to get to PTM by pushing the button twice quickly.

I have a 2015 Z51 with MRC.

Was it a matter of not being in the correct display mode (i.e. Info vs. Perf)?

TIA.

my car did the exact same thing when new - computer needs updated program. I had early Premier Edition. Once they updated it, it worked exactly as expected.

2.11.33 and 2.11.36 were the best times I laid down when my telemetry was actually working on the full course with the stock tires - only mod was track pads.

^Thanks.

It was in Hendrick a month or so ago and they said there were no SW updates.

Guess I'll check again.

Put car into Track mode by rotating console ****. Then 2 quick presses of the center button in the console **** should bring up PTM mode in dash display and turn on both Stabilitrak and Active Handling lights on the dash display. Then rotate console **** to select which of the 5 modes you want from Wet, Dry, Sport 1, Sport 2 or Race. Once selected, PTM mode display goes off. Has always worked fine in my 2014 Z51 MRC. Perhaps you need that software upgrade? Try again at home to see if it's finger trouble.

Mine wouldn't work. Took it to the dealer and after they updated the software, it worked. The tech was confused between the non-mag ride Z51 and the mag ride Z51. I don't know how they select which software version to load, but they eventually loaded the right one.
