They list a 180 degree T-stat for the Corvette and all Chevy trucks that use the LT1 derivative.

Have to drive about 2hrs each way on I-95 today. Will try it in manual mode which stays in 8 cyl mode and see what happens.

I'm running a Jet performance 180° thermostat 10167 right now as an OEM replacement. Doing so puts me at ~190° coolant & ~195° oil. I also changed my fan table to start at 192°F with 20% duty cycle & ramps up from there. DeWitt installed as well. It was 101°F today & I could barely get The coolant to 202°F in 5pm traffic with the A/C running.

After reading thru this thread I decided to check my very early built 14' and find that the tour mode digital gauge shows 208 normal operating temp and the fixed analog temp gauge shows very close to 215 to 220

The jet and summit t-stat looks to be the lingenfelfter style if not the same. I just lost my 4th lingenfelter t-stat. I think the 2014 stock t-stat is 194

I have a 2014 and the gauge reads 220 degrees hot, but HP tuners indicates 203 degrees.

Adding my two cents........ heat soak in the 2014 is terrible, when the car is hot and the addition of a very hot day the car bogs, stumbles and runs like crap.

Having brought mine in for service and hearing the service manager comment that several other 2014 's had the same problem, without a fix. I am wondering if the 2015's have been tweaked to allow for more efficient cooling to reduce the heat soak.

What kind of gas are you running? I've had no issues here, stock or modified, running quality brand 93-octane fuels (Shell, Chevron, Exxon, etc.).

Well I ordered a 2015 thermostat housing & it finally arrived! After I get home I'll put the car on the lift & start cooling it off. So I can compared ALL these thermostats

1.LMR housing with Motorad Tstat 160°

2. Stock 2014 housing with Tstat (212°???)

3. Stock 2015 housing with Tstat (200°???)

4. Jet Performance OEM replacement Tstat 180°

Immediately, I can say the 2015 Tstat is different, subcomponents are of better quality, machined instead of cast & the actual thermostat is slightly made different, looks as though the brass housing was soldered together. In any event here's a picture of the LMR & the 2015 Tstat the Jet Performance is installed with the stock housing.

Thanx for doing this testing. So maybe a suitable fix is just to swap out the 14' and add a 15'? Any chance a late build 14' has a "15'" stat in it?

Can you read any numbers stamped on the bottom of the 2015 thermostat?

My '15 MT7 consistently runs right around 190 in normal day to day driving, maye 195 in traffic. The only time I've seen over 200 was on a > 90 day, A/C running full tilt, in heavy, slowly crawling traffic. Not using Eco mode at all.

Okay, the stamped numbers on the 14 & 15 thermostats are almost identical. The 14 has K13 CR207 & the 15 E15 CR207 has Additionally identical is the side by side comparison. Unfortunately If it weren't for the 15 thermostat be new & shiny I wouldn't be able to identify one from the other. Lastly is the testing the break over temp. As best I can tell they are identical Tstats.

I'll compare the housings & the other components which are slightly different later tonight. I know this isn't what everyone wanted to hear, least of all myself. It was 101° today & I need water....

Can you measure the height of the center pin? It will need to be very accurate, probably need a depth micrometer or good
caliper. Alternatively, if the pin comes out, measure the length.
On C-5 stats, the pin length determined the opening temp. But a very small difference made a big change in operating temp.

K13 looks like a date code to me. K13 could be November 2013.

Bummer. Have those with 2015s who have reported cooler temps been getting those temps from a scanner or just the gauge? Maybe the change for 2015 was re-calibrating the gauge....
