That would actually make me want to go centri.

The car still averaged 27.4 for the whole trip.
I am actually considering the Eforce for a few reasons. They are down the street (almost) from where I work now. They are CARB legal and a small warranty.

The Novi 1500 is a blast to drive (literally). I would not change to a PD blower and have had 2 cars with PD blowers. Nothing wrong with them but I now prefer the centri.

If you have to have CARB approval your only option right now is Callaway or Eforce. I believe A&A is trying to get CARB approval for their S/C. I don't honestly know whether the ECS S/C is CARB approved. Perhaps Doug will jump in.

It makes no difference in PA, in fact, in my county emission inspection is not required.

You have a 5 year grace window before it needs to be CARB checked.
Just sayin. And we will be looking to have the C7 certified as soon as we get through some of our Ford products.

5 years is an eternity in cars too. We may be talking C8 at that point. I wouldn't let something like pending certification sway me to a PD over a centi.

I love the blow off valve sound. I sometimes get on it just a bit to hear it. Combined with track mode on the exhausts, and it is addictive.

My daily driver 2000 miles since the install, if I didnt travel so much there would be a lot more miles on her.

Car: 2014 A6 Z51 (Daily Driver)

Modifications: 1500 Novi (ECS) 8psi/restrictor, Alky Control, ARH LT, HPT Tune.

Power: (safe) 578/534 SAE

Anyone know what that would work out to in crank power and torque? I'm guessing roughly 660 horsepower and 610 torque? What's the formula to figure out crank power.

Though not a solid number a good estimate if you have an auto is you loose anywhere from 45-50 hp in the drivetrain with it being an auto. so you can figure 623-628 flywheel. Once again its just an estimate. Also those are SAE numbers not standard so depends how you look at it I guess STD (once again guesstimate) would be round 590/545 at the wheels which would roughly convert to 640 to 635hp flywheel.

I seen several tuners suggest to estimate crank HP based on 15% drive train loss for A6 and 12% for A8 at least under 700RWHP. My understanding is the horsepower consumed by the drive train is not a fixed amount (40-50HP). There is an increase in mechanical resistance to greater torque or torque onset and rpm change. I am sure at some point in stops increasing or things start breaking

I also realize that a fixed percentage isn't really accurate either. This is why we should just measure at the wheels. An centrifugal SC only car with restrictor plate (7PSI) will make somewhere between 540-580HP. This means it is putting the same power to ground as most stock C7 ZO6 with slightly less weight. While Autos may be closer to 540, they have other advantages which means for typical driver will be as quick if not a little quicker.
