Pinging and timing

Pinging and timing
Has anyone else experienced pinging lately between 2-3k in 3rd gear and up? It goes away when the methanol comes on. Never had an issue until about a week or so ago, I have filled from 3 different stations, all of which have not given me trouble in the past (2 shell, one sunoco). I am in NJ. Pulling timing works as well, just wondering if anyone else has experienced very bad fuel lately. Also, i am curious if you guys can throw out some timing numbers, that would be great as well for this rpm area (2-4k rpms, .82 to 1.00 g/cyl). I tried bringing the methanol on sooner but the car does not like it with the dual nozzle and breaks up/bogs hard in 1-2 gear.

My experience with these E92 computers is that the knock sensors are far superior than ever before and I've seen no reason to de sensitize the knock sensor tables
I run my car on E85 fuel normally around 65-70 % ethanol---
At 70 % my car hits 30* timing above 2500 RPM and about 24-27* below that at WOT
No pinging-----
On all gas I hit approx. 25* timing above 2400 and about 22* below 2400 at WOT--again no pinging
On gas I am running a fuel ratio of .87 Lambda
And on ethanol at E80 a .83 Lambda
Could be your fuel is lean----I know after I added an AFE cold air intake I had to make a plus 13% increase on my MAF HZ table above 7000HZ to compensate for the CAI and to get the commanded fuel ratio to match the actual fuel ratio--I verified this with a wideband--

There is NO reason a STOCK engine should ever ping if using premium fuel---I suspect you have either some bad knock sensors-- a fouled MAF sensor--IAT temp sensor--ECT coolant sensor--I would deff. take it in for warranty repairs

I am sure you see the first guy is using meth which means he is probably supercharged....the second guy is using an aftermarket tune....either of which opens up tons of non-factory possibilities.
