I don't, I could shoot one. If you dont like the Q and want the QR I will trade you. I'd like to have the louder one now.

I didn't get my set up yet. It's being done in the spring

ecs 1500 kit with meth and ARH

I like the sound of the BOV at full throttle but I heard the Q is loud all the time. I'd rather it be quiet usually except when at WOT. I will most likely go with the QR.

Well I will do my best to be a bad influence and tell you all about them when they go on!

@ C7&7, did you have it done as a bypass or just VTA with a filter? Bypass is way too quiet.

@ thegame, Q is loud in bypass and low-load in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Cruising in 3rd (low-load 2000-2500rpm) is really painful even with duals. If you have one of those little two-land bridges over a creek to test on, by 3500 when you're really moving air, it's ear-shatteringly loud (not exaggerating here).

I will install the QRs with filters this weekend and try to take a vid before/after.

@ Elite '14, are we getting too far off-topic here? I can always start another thread and move the convo there.

It doesn't bother me at all.

I can honestly say that the Q BOV doesn't bother me either. I certainly can understand where the constant "shhhhhh" sound can irritate some. I just enjoy the looks I get from everybody else who can't figure out what that noise is.

You may be able to hear the BOV in the videos below. Seems that the PDR picks up more wind noise than anything. If we don't get a bunch of rain this weekend, I may ask the wife to video the car as I drive by. Laptop/tablet speakers don't do any of these justice.

If that's the Q, then that's not doing it justice. If that's the QR, then I'd be happy with that level of noise. Sounds about the same as my open-filter turbo cars using BPVs.

I was going to ask who did your tune because I liked the decel popping, but then I realized it was Mike.

I need to look at my DFCO tables - would love more burble like that.

Honestly, the mics aren't picking it up well. Will try to get a better one today.

As for as the burble, I love that cars still have it and Mike does a great job. I'm very fortunate to live 2 miles from the shop and they treat everyone great. Always nice when a shop owner personally test drives your car before handing it back over. Shows that Ron and team take what they do very personal and take pride in their work.

Are you referring to Rantoul on the 19th and 20th?

Unfortunately I can't make this event but I am looking forward to TX in November!
