Default MT ET Street 305/35 20

I just purchased a supercharged, headers, meth Z51 making around 700 to the tire. It currently has the 335/25 20 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zp's. They have a few thousand miles on them and was looking for a 20" tire with more traction (not my daily driver) and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the new MT ET streets and how they hook compared to my current tire. Any info will be appreciated.

I'm looking into those myself. I have been using 888's and they hooked up pretty good when I was in the 650hp range, much better than the OEM runflats did. But at 1100rwhp now I need different options and don't want to go smaller rims for the street.

What do you need more traction for? If this is for the strip, then get some 18" rims. Otherwise, you are looking at a drag radial with a short sidewall which is not ideal. Plus you sacrifice some handling since the tire is meant to have softer sidewalls in general.

We have tried them on the C7's. They hook great but are two tall for the car and will rub on the backside of the fender liner even at stock height on all bumps or when launching. I would suggest dropping to an 18" rim with an appropriate height tire.

Appreciate the information- reason I'm looking for more traction is I am competing in a 1/2 mile event coming up and I also do a little roll racing in "Mexico". My last C6 had 750+ rwhp and I had a Weld RTS drag pack with the MT ET Streets for any racing. Might just go that route with this C7.

I'm doing 18" Weld S77b's w/Nitto NT555R for the upcoming 1/2 mile event next weekend. We are having a hard time getting the MT in stock in time, but will switch to them for next year. Not ideal, but at least they are good for 15k miles and can actual be driven in the rain if necessary.
