Default Rookie Q - Magnetic Drain Plugs?

Just pickup up my 2015 A8 Stingray

Does it come with magnetic drain plugs on oil pan and transmission?

If not, where can I get them?

Tks.

Not on the oil pan. Not sure about the transmission.

For the oil pan: http://www.powerslutracing.com/c-107...read-size.html

The wet sump engine use part # PSR-0104. I'm not sure if the dry sump uses the same one, but I suspect so.

Mid America had magnetic plugs at one time for the older corvettes, I know because I replaced all of them in my 02 Z06 years ago.

I'm sure they will include the new corvette soon if they haven't done it yet.

Thanks for your replies. Looks like several sources have oil pan drain plugs but I cannot find a plug for the AT.
One source mentioned has a wide variety of plugs with many different sizes and thread patterns. So there is one out there but I don't know the thread pattern of the AT drain plug in order to select the correct one.

Any ideas as to the AT drain plug thread pattern?

Tks,
Will

You may not be able to find one for the transmission since I think it is just a common pipe plug...not straight threads with gasket...
Note, the differential does have a magnetic drain and fill plug...Factory plugs have a nylon gasket..

Good point
What size is the plug for the differential?
Searches on various vendors sites do not show a diff plug.

Thanks

The differential plugs are already magnetic.

I purchased 2 magnetic drain plugs for my Z51 from one of the vendors listed above. The size is pretty much universal as it is the same size as my G8(s) and my 2010 Flex. For added protection you can add a magnet to your oil filter. But... aluminum is not magnetic so any aluminum residue must be caught in your filter.
