Default Reliability questions, SC C6z vs SC C7'stingray?

07 z06 vs 15 stingray, both have headers, cam, superchargers. Both under 10k miles. Lets just say the price is decent on both of them. Obviously warranty is gone ln both cars. I hear the stingray motors are somewhat weak? But i also know that the 427 has the potential vave drop issue. The c6 is 20k cheaper, i have owned both cars before, but not modded like that. What would you buy and why? I wold hate to spend good money to just lose sleep at night worrying about my car blowing up. opinions?

The LS7 is stronger, but, as you say, the valve guides need to be checked. If they are good, or have been replaced, I would go that route since the C6Z is lighter and will make more power at the same boost level. YMMV.

I would choose the Z06. Much faster car and you will lose less when you sell. It will hold your dollar better. More rare ay this point! 427>lt1 Easy in my book

I owned/own both. I like new... New is better. The C6 design is tired. I own the C7 now and have zero regrets. Too many features I like with c7 and few reasons to go back to the c6z. I have to admit the LS7 high red line was sweet.

This is a personal question. You posted in the C7 section and my guess is that most will choose the C7. Post in the C6 section and most there will choose the C6. You can't fault either party! There all Corvettes - It's all good!

The best car would be C7 with Ls7 engine.
