Our vertical intercooler clears it just fine.

Its so easy its silly. A few push pins, and a bunch of 7mm bolts and a couple 8s and 10's and its off. Literally one of the easiest front ends ever, other then the new 2015+ Mustangs.

I have personally done a bunch myself, so I speak from experience.

To put in a killer, massive intercooler with great IAT's and fit and finish, that extra time isn't much of an issue IMHO.

You only do it once, but you get to enjoy it every time you floor it from then on.

That will be an easy number to hit.
Just do the blower and meth for now, and you will be surprised by the number. Then spend $$$ on tires, cause that A8 makes those cars BRUTAL!

I am in the market for a S/C and have greatly considered going with procharger over the other guys. Does your kit install easier? Does it require bending and moving the ABS lines like the other kits? How good, and how safe is the included tune? If I only plan on running a mild tune, is it good enough to run permanently without custom tuning? How modest is the included canned tune? Have there been any drive-ability issues with it? Thanks!

No bending of ABS lines
Our system has 5 ply thick silicon tubing for easy install (and lack of rattles, and provides heat insulation)
Tune comes with the system (as long as car is stock)
Drives like 100% stone stock, until you push down on the "loud pedal"
And then its just tire spinning HP.

i think its the only kit that works with the front mounted trans cooler gm is installing in ALL A8s...
U dont want to remove that cooler its there for a reason

Correct, we would NOT recommend removing that cooler at all.
Anyone that has aggressively driven an A6 or A8 car without knows how fast they get hot (especially in hot climates)

We are happy that our normal intercooler works just fine with the trans cooler in place.

You can actually see that one this LT4 car (with A8) in the write up below. Image #24 shows the factory cooler going back into place.

C7R as in 1/500 C7Z06 sp edition.

No HREs went with a 12k set of ADVs that I had to have bro. ECS does all sorts of builds and the Procharger is sooo sick for high HP applications
