That is what I did. Ended up with 686 at the wheels. No question whos winning that battle
That's the setup I went with also and am putting down 686 WHP also. Car is stupid fast and a blast to drive.

That's just crazy- 680 at the wheel on stock bottom end. Sounds like Nirvana (but will the motor last).

New goal: 600 reliable every day power. And still hang with a Z... Thinking 8 lbs and headers.. Anyone got this set up

My "old" setup. It was good for 650-670 rwhp:

ECS 1500 supercharger (around 10 pounds of boost)
ECS Alky Meth Control (single nozzle, set to 8 on the controller, VP M1 100% methanol)
1 7/8" American Racing Headers with Catted X-Pipe
LMR revised catch can / breather
Custom Tune

My new setup will be:

ECS 1500 supercharger (around 14 pounds of boost)
ECS Dual Nozzle Alky Methanol
1 7/8" American Racing Headers with catted X Pipe
LMR revised catch can / breather
TS&P VVT-1 Camshaft (with larger 33% fuel lobe)
TS&P Hardened Chromoly Pushrods
DOD Delete Kit (DOD hole plug, head gaskets, ARP head stud kit, lifter tray and lifters)
Comp Cam Phaser Block
PRC .650" Dual valve springs (including titanium retainers, hardened spring set and new valve seals)
CNC machine ported heads and hone the block
Custom Baily's Tune
Circle D PRO III 3000-3200 rpm Torque Converter
Forged Wiseco Pistons and new rings (compression lowered to approximately 9.5 - 10:1)
ECS pulley
3 bar map sensor
Borla cat-back exhaust (with all 4 actuators / valves deleted. It's was also professionally ceramic coated black

This build is in progress.. Should be ready in a few weeks. Keeping our fingers crossed for mid 800 rwhp numbers.

Also going to upgrade rear tires on stock rims, leaning towards Mich Pilot Sport Cup 2's non run-flats.

On a roll, how I am going to fare against the Z...
Only 550 at the wheels with those mods the Z06 will show you tail lights!
Read in the tech forum there are guys with your goals with
more rwhp than 550 with meth kits and still lose to the Z06!
My blown Z51 never felt as fast with as high as 617 rwhp.
You need 700 rwhp! Look for Fyreant's posts he is chasing Z06's as well!

Haha yea im still working on walking Z06's. Im at 639HP/618TQ. A&A S-trim at 10PSI, Meth, ARH long tubes, LMR revised breather, and ported TB. I ran a Z and was dead even up to 125mph. Though, I am having an issue with my meth right now and the car isn't driving right so I very well could be faster and not know it yet. Hoping to get up to FSP this weekend so we can figure it out.

I'd attribute that to your meth problems. You should definitely be smoking the Z06. You blow it's power to weight ratio out of the water.

I'm pretty sure it will only take 570-580 RWHP in a Base C7 to edge out a Stock Z06. 700RWHP would blow the doors off a Stock Z.

The Centrifical Kits may add 65lbs of weight which is still close to 200lbs lighter than a Stock C7 Z06.

Yeah, it's not going to take anywhere near 700whp to beat a z06.

Internet racing here!
I owned both cars and 570-580 is not enough.
Every one wants to act like the Z06 is not a fast car.
Then you just spent 30 minutes adding a Halltech

The C7 to get past that level you need meth. Just a blower kit?
No not enough!

Not Internet racing if you are close to the Washington DC area I will gladly defend the honor of a centrifically blown C7 with you in just a few weeks. We can compare time slips or a live match up. I do plan on doing a few half mile events next year also.

Can I run 10 lbs boost with 93 Octane, Torco, and a good tune? Just don't want to run down the LT's/Meth path if I don't have to. Seems like that would get me to 600 whp...

With 600 at the wheels, a little weight advantage, and some good rubber, I have to think edging a stock Z is doable

With 586/572, I pull on stock Hellcat Chargers which are very similar to Z06's on rolls from what I've seen on videos. Have not ran into a Z06 here yet as they and very rare in Canada, but I imagine it would be a very close race. Anything over 600whp should pull on a stock Z06 for sure. Less than that is iffy and would probably come down to driver and transmission choice.

From what I have seen FI C7 trap 135+.
My Bolton C7 traps 125. I expect to see 137 or better after my new setup is complete.

I think this is at 10+ psi with meth. I think just S/C with or without headers at 7psi is around 126-128ish. If not, then I am apparently well behind the pack haha.

550rwhp roughly in a 3550 race weight is around 128 mph
I'd say most stock c7s with just blower with or without headers on low boost is what your looking at

Well since I had a 2014 Z51 with 9psi of boost that made 617
then was retuned back removing a little timing as 617 is too much timing without more fuel and better fuel.Brought it down to 570 rwph. It was never as fast as my 2015 Z06 with just a Halltech intake. So those are facts instead of guessing.
The Z51 gearing is wider spread and the centi has lower tq.

Do you have #'s to back all that up? Just wondering (not being sarcastic). So far I've only seen you say your Stingray never "felt" as fast as your Z. I mean the Z is definitely gonna "feel" faster being a roots style blower with more bottom end. Plus the Z prob has better stock traction than the Stingray. Put some good tires on a blown C7 that has as much whp...I don't see why it wouldn't beat a stock Z.
