I'm from Europe, I have a 2014 Z51 with LT, off road xpipe and AFE intake.
Since I can't find a tuner for my C7 here I'm looking for a solution.
I narrowed down these options, can you guys post your opinions ?
I'm looking for best drivability, it's my daily driver in spring/summer

Any new DI LT1 engine can benefit from even just a handheld mail order tune---Being that your car is basically STOCK with an AFE CAI --However the AFE does require special MAF recalibrations to correct both the P/T and WOT AFR's----Diablo does offer an
AFE specific tune as does Chuck Cow------ You will be amazed by the increased throttle response and bottom end HP---

I've been very happy with DiabLew's customer service and tuning. Drivability is just as smooth as stock, and I have more mods than you listed.

i love the new I2 from diablosport and i have a tune from diablew as well. I prob didn't need lew's tune but was worth every penny.

yes. Lew's tune is a custom tune added to the diablosport tuners (in my case i have the I2). You can return to stock any time you wish. His customer service is awesome! I've emailed him and received return emails or tune adjustments within minutes...

PS If you buy the handheld device and his custom tune at the same time from his website it saves you a few dollars. His custom tune winds up being only $110 instead of $150

Absolutely!

The AutoCal tool is the most feature packed tool you can buy.

As I said earlier.... It's internals are pretty much exactly the same the

EFI LIVE V2 cable that most of the big turners use.

Anything I can create with EFI LIVE here in my shop (including Custom OS's and my custom modified software)

can be loaded with AutoCal and then returned to stock any time you like.

just to add the view point from a satisfied customer of Chuck at COW. COW is a great tune. I have gone through 3 iterations in tweaking both the engine and transmission tunes (2006 Z51 A6) and now it much more responsive and shifts are quick. After the initial tune, you run a datalog for 20 or 30 mins, send it to Chuck at COW and he checks it out, sends a new version of the tune and you install it within minutes. All done via Email.

If he can make a 10 years vette act like a new C7 he should be able to improve yours. As soon as i get some better tires, my zero to 60 should a TON. Thanks Chuck11

return to stock easy 5 minute process, his tunes are legitimate and he's the most available busy guy I ever met!! His tunes are super safe and drastic improvements over stock "DRASTIC". Done two cars for me engine and trans tunes and it's just shocking to drive the car after. Paul

I have owned a diablo preditator and intune. Never had any issues and i was always happy with the performance gains. DiabLew will tweak your custom tune to where you will be smiling ear to ear. And what makes the Diablo tools OUT SHINE THEIR COMPETITORS IS YOU CAN PUT YOUR CAR BACK TO IT'S ORIGINAL STOCK TUNE!!!!! AND IT IS UNDETECTABLE SO THE DEALER WILL NEVER KNOW YOU HAVE PLAYED WITH THE ECM IN THE CAR. Diablo tools are the ONLY COMPANY THAT CAN MAKE THAT STATEMENT HANDS DOWN!!!!!!! The Diablo tools are the ONLY TOOLS THAT YOU CAN RETURN YOUR CAR BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL STOCK TUNE WITHOUT THE WARRANTY BEING VOIDED. THE DEALER CAN NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY BECAUSE THE DIABLO TOOLS DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT LEAVE ANY TRACE OF RETUNING THE ECM!!!!!! AND THATS THE FACT JACK!!!!! JUST SAYIN!!!!

Does anyone who had a Diablo tune remove it then have an engine replaced by GM?

I'm a computer guy. There is a hash on the OEM tune file. Any change to this hash let's GM know it was modified. Not sure how Diablo makes changes to the tune then takes it off and the same hash for the OEM tune returns.

If Diablo can do this, not sure why any other quality tuner could not. I've heard multiple times that Diablo leaves no trace.

Anyone use a Diablo then return to stock and had GM fix/ replace an engine?

A tune is a tune and if you blow up your motor, its on you and GM should not have to pay IMO. I threw my warranty out at 850 miles and understand if I have an engine issue, its my problem.

I decided to go with the Chuck COW complete package for my C6 after researching and narrowing it down to these 2 tuners. Can't go wrong with either one but what drew mw to Chuck was the fact that he uses HP Tuners and can really fine tune everything including the COW Booster which is included now for free! When I talked to him on the phone I could tell that he is very passionate and knowledgeable with what he does, and he's readily available by phone. So far I have done the ECM swap with the Booster and it's great! Waiting on the Auto Cal to arrive so I can start with the datalogging and fine tuning. Can't wait for the transmission tune (A6)!
