Errrr.... Are you able to keep the front air inlet in front of the F1X?

I'm upgrading my 2200 to the F1X in a week or so... But I also have the ACS hood being painted next week. ACS said it would fit but if the front plastic air deflector will not go back on the hood may not work.

Dunno, don't have it yet. Car is at the body shop right now getting the Z06 body kit painted and installed, the hood is being delivered to them middle of next week. After that is done the car will go back to FSP for the new blower, intake etc.

I talked to Joe at ACS for a little bit about the build, what I was doing to the car, what blower, clearance etc. He said there was more room under their hood everywhere and it won't be a problem.

BUT, now I'm wondering by this pic if the air scoop on the inside front of the motor will fit back on, because the whole underneath of the ACS hood is molded. I tried to find dimensions on a F1X online but cant.

are you talking about the shroud that bolts to the radiator that provides the path for the air to exit through the hood? I would assume that would no longer fit. I had to remove mine on my A&A V3 Si kit as it will not fit anymore..

Sorry to go off topic but Anthony, the hood heat extractor will fit if the A&A kit is basically stock. I ground down two of the radiator fins so the tube from the filter to the head unit will lay down an extra inch or two.
Fits very nicely

Good thought. I have mine propped up a bit to not hit the radiator. Didn't think about grinding them down.. lol

How much boost are you planning on running, and has the engine been upgraded with forged rotating parts to make use of all the air that big blower can move? Meth? Cam?

I talked to Procharger this morning and they confirmed that the shroud will still fit.

Guys, car is on 19 lbs of boost , dual meth kit, Brian Tooley custom grind cam, springs, Johnson lifters, ported heads, ARP bolts all around and stock bottom end. This is a tuner kit so the air intake is custom now because of F1X size. Everything else is bolt on and could be put back to stock Procharger does a good job with their kits. I'll just say the car put down 890 whp at 13psi! I purchased 3 pulleys for different boost levels up to 22. All fits under the hood!!!!!

Going to play with it for now, Will do some track days and we have a lot of local car cruises in in VA. Car has stock bottom end. There are guys pushing 22 psi on the same kits due to not porting head. It kinda a trade off for horsepower but the car doesn't have to work as hard to get there. This is a project car still so will post more soon.
