Default Fastest stock M7 quarter mile run.

I see the quickest time in the C7 fast list for base model C7 (non-Z06) manual is 11.95 in 100% bone stock form. Has anyone else been any faster than an 11.95 in a stock M7?

The fastest base model(non-Z06) C7 automatic tranny pass posted is 11.37, which is a huge difference (multiple care lengths) when compared to the fastest M7 pass of 11.95. Everyone knows the auto is faster in a straight line, but maybe there are some quicker M7 passes that have not been posted.

I am also somewhat regretting not getting the automatic as well. At first I didn't realize how much faster the automatic is in a straight line. I have also had terrible luck with almost every GM automatic I have ever owned. Even though it is faster, I see post after post on here related to issues with the A8 (i.e. hard downshifts and over-heating at the track).

I swore I wouldn't do this but at a Density Altitude of 6,400 feet I ran a 12.1 @ 118, bone stock.

With the Halltech CAI and the IW 9% overdrive pulley, at 6,600 feet Density Altitude I ran a 11.71 @ 124.8 with a 2.1 60'.

Stock Super Sport tires, with drag radials I'm sure to reach the mid/low 11's..

Those are very respectable times for the M7, especially at that DA.

I now see your car is a Z06, i was thinking at first you ran the 12.1 in a base model M7.

Ahh that makes so much more sense. I thought it was impossible to be getting those times at that DA haha. I was so confused. Assumed it was a Stingray.

I agree that the M7 is more fun to drive.

Stock M7 with drag radials only 11.7@119. Anything faster than that would have been posted by now. I don't believe that the M7 is not slower.....you just have to put the same 60ft time as the A6/A8's. And, that's a handful.

Wow 145mph. Those are some pretty decent times for stock rims and tires. I was in San Antonio last weekend would have loved to have seen your runs.. Your mph shows some serious HP plenty enough to run in the 9's with some drag radials.

There is a c7 M7 with just headers and tune
And drag radials

11.3 1/4

There just as fast they just don't hook up near as good on stock tires

I raced a auto from a roll and won him

Both stock
