Default Corvette Z06 (with a MANUAL) runs 10.6 bone stock in Top Gear

Just recently the Corvette Z06 beats not only the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R but ALSO the Dodge Viper ACR in the quarter-mile. The Vette beats the Viper by half a sec, and it traps 6 miles an hour FASTER.

No tested laptimes have been revealed, although the Vette is the quickest and fastest car of these three, with a 0-60 time of 3.4 seconds and a 1/4-mile time of 10.6 seconds at 130 mph. And this is the manual version. It also completes the kilometer (0.62-mile/3,281-ft) dash in 20 seconds flat at 161 mph. Now imagine what the automatic would do in this same comparo test. Professional drivers unofficially already have gone 10.4ish at 132-134 "stock" in their automatic Z06s, recorded in their videos. A manual Z06 has previously recorded 10.90 at 127 (and no, this ain't the one).

Where did the numbers come from? I didn't see those anywhere in the posted article.

The article was actually written before the numbers were dealt with. I got these scans from the managers working at Top Gear. I requested them for the numbers. They are invitation- (or private request-)only scans for right now. The first manager showed me the top scan (the one with three of the cars all far away from yet next to each other). The second gave me three more scans.

Well, GM claimed 11.2@126 for the M7 Z06. Something doesn't make sense. This particular car is much faster than what the owners are getting. I believe 10.89 is the best out of a M7 Z06 and that's with an excellent driver. If this is true. ...sounds like the car had b÷been tampered with. Just my .02.

Same with the Porsche 911 Turbo S and the Lamborghini Huracán. Their claimed numbers are all conservative. And pretty much every BMW beats its conservative estimates too.

I agree somewhat. ...but look at how far the Z06 is from the Viper that's what I'm looking at. The VIper should be at least high 10's if that is the case.

Z06: 10.6*130 = 1,378 ft

1,378/124 = 11.11 on the ACR. Or 11.2*124 = 1,388.8 ft.

1,388.8/130 = 10.68 on the Z06.

Do you know if the plan is for Top Gear to release these scans or any of these #'s publicly?

Of course. They will release it in a new 2/16 magazine of Top Gear, then they will be published online.

Huh? 1378 ft when we know it's 1320 so it went 58 ft futher than a 1/4 in 10.6?
Sure sounds right?
Any more special facts?

No. That's just its reaction distance.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat with its 8-speed auto does 11.67 at 132.0 FYI.

Hellcat - 1,540.44 ft - 1,320 ft = 220.44 ft of distance reaction

Sounds like some kind of made up numbers for bench racing.
