Default MSD atomic airforce intake results

I just put a msd intake manifold on my car and we did before and after dyno runs to see exactly what we got from the intake.

Mods on car are:
Cai, e85, lt headers, cam, ported heads

We got 28 rwhp and 10rwtq

I will post the dyno sheet tomorrow when i get a chance.
Pretty impressed with what i picked up off just the intake.

Default Cool

Good gains. I'm also adding an 'Air Force' in May. Is your car a M7 or A8?

Good deal which track? Benson or Piedmont? When I lived down that way I hit those tracks alot on my two wheeled machines.

Good luck with your runs, let us know the results.

It would be so easy for them to add bosses to that intake for port injection.. Hopefully MSD offers that as an option in the future.

Interesting results. I will have one put on at the end of May along with a Nick Williams 102mm throttle body. Will see how much mine changes.

A recent dyno test shows 20 WHP and 21 WTQ gains on an otherwise stock '16 Camaro LT1 SS with gains throughout the powerband without tuning. The Camaro LT1 engine is a little different than the Stingray LT1 but the results are encouraging and its worth a try to me. Test is here: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=439890

This intake is putting down pretty close to what I got out of a ported stock intake. Right around that 20-25 mark.

If I remember right, I put down 440rwhp with a ported manifold and throttle body only before I built the 416. I never dyno'd the 416 by itself but I think it was around 550-575 with a tiny cam and now has the ECS 1500 and need to dyno it still but if the lb/min are close then it should be in the 950 rwhp range.

The TB is WeaponX and the intake manifold might be a Formato.....I can't remember, it's been a while since I got those.
