Default New 2016 C7 Z51 Tires Skipping During Hard Slow Speed Turn?

Looking to see if this is normal or not; but my new C7 Z51 seems to be skipping while I turn the wheel sharply to the left or right when doing a U turn or simply turning hard left or right from a stop. Is this something new with the electric steering or with the factory Michelin Tires on Z51? I can hear and feel the front tires jump (skip) as the turn begins full left or full right. It almost feels like the sway bar is sticking too. (Last night in the rain, it did this, and it did the other day in the rain, so maybe its wet pavement related?) Thanks for any thoughts. Thinking of asking the dealer to take a look at it if others do not experience this oddity. :-)

Do a search on this forum for "ackerman". This issue has been amply discussed.

Thank you! This is my eighth Corvette in 18 years, and this is the first time I have experienced this issue. Good read! Thank you!

When I picked my car from the Corvette Museum Feb. 11, the person assigned to me said that if the outside temperature was below 50 degrees (or maybe 70 degrees, I can't recall which), then the front tires will "skip" or "roll" when making slow turns...ie. parking lots, u-turns, etc. The next day when I was in Florida where it was warmer, the rolling or skipping stopped and haven't felt it since! You should be fine depending on the outside temperature.
Just my .02 cents.

Good Luck...

Can't believe you haven't experienced it yet. My 86 which I purchased in 87 did it, it my 97 did it my 03 did it, my 08 did it and my 15 does it. That is almost 30 years of slipping in tight low speed corners.

Anyone notice skipping is significantly worse in sport mode than in eco / touring modes? I had the steering locked to sport all the time regardless of mode and thought "man this slow speed skipping is getting old" but recently switched steering to mode dependent and now the skipping is significantly reduced while in Touring or Eco.
