Cruise control won't stay engaged in 6th or 7th
used cruise control for the first time the other day and it seems to be not staying engaged in 6th or 7th gear, I was only traveling around 60-65mph, seems to work in all the other gears but when I go into 6th and push the set button the cruise light turns green but then once I take my foot off the throttle then the light turns back to white and deactivates, same with 7th. I'm hoping it's something stupid, any suggestions? Thanks guys

My car was just recently tuned and has a procharger on it, along with the cruise acting up my low engine oil add oil light is on, I'm thinking something went wrong when the shop did the tune.

My car is pure stock and the cruise works just fine. I have used it in 4th, 5th and 6th gears. There is a minimum speed at which it will not engage but I am not sure exactly what the speed is. Previous GM cars that I owned had a minimum speed around 30 mph.
Each time you disengage the clutch the cruise will shut off and has to be resumed in the next gear.

My guess is the torque model has been altered (incorrectly) and cruise is thinking its not making enough torque to stay engaged.
Lots of systems (everything) have a look and take a bite out of the torque model between the gas pedal and the rear wheels. Cruise control, air conditioning, etc all need a properly calibrated torque model to work right.

Sorry to bump an old thread, did you ever figure out the torque management issue limiting cruise control in 6th and 7th gears? I have the same issue currently on a tuned 2016 Z06.
