Take a piece of paper.

Laminate it (most offices have a laminater)

Bend it to slide under cap.

Pop cap off

I used a gym membership card.

There is the velcro sticky-back version that some swear by and also the dental floss version that others say works wonderfully, w/o have to remove the wheel.

I have never seen a center cap that has no small edge are cut out in it that you could not get a small screw driver into and just twist it out really easy.

My stock rims & also the aftermarket wheels I have on it you just cant do it and feel safe about doing it. Plus I have Black chrome after market on the car now. It was a bear for me to get the center caps in place. Just stupid to me taking a chance of doing damage to a rim.

Dental floss or fishing line if you don't want to remove the wheels. I did it and it worked great.

^ Good to know its easy to remove center caps without damaging or having to remove the wheel. At car shows, I like for the logo to be right-side up.

I like it pointing at the valve stem.

I found this thread and just had to ask, will a plastic hotel key be skinny enough to get in between the centre cap and the rim?? My C7 GrandSport came from the factory with the punisher Corvette logo and it also came with the extra racing flag logo. Racing flag logo is still in the plastic covering never used so I think I want to change them this weekend.

Only if you found the car in a hotel parking lot, and found a key in the trash can right outside the lobby, then, in that case: go for it. Watcha got to lose?

Any old credit card-like thingee or promotional plastic piece from some ads will do the trick. I actually had my doubts, even after watching the guy on a vid do so with ease... until I tried it. It worked first time and every time like a charm, but can bugger up the edge of the card.

well I may have to try that. I’ve seen guys use a suction cup on other rims to pop out the centre cap and it seem to work good and the two sided Velcro and you just pull it off with pliers I’ve seen that video as well.

The old hotel key trick works perfectly. It is plastic as well, so it won't mess up the surface of the center cap. I wouldn't personally use a screwdriver for fear of messing up either the rim or the cap.
