Clicking noise from wheel well
Hi,
I noticed the other day I am now getting a noticeable clicking noise from the front left wheel well turning tight at low speeds in both directions. I'm guessing it's either bad end links, hub bearings and possibly a bad sway bar? What do you guys think?
I'm scheduled at the dealer shop this Saturday.
2015 non z51 3,000 miles
Thank you.

Problem Fixed
I had the same problem. There is a fix from GM for this problem. Basically it requires taking off the front wheels and cleaning the mounting surface with brake cleaner. Then you put the wheels back on and the problem is gone.
The Document ID from GM is 4564777. It is titled "#P1498B: Clicking Noise from Front and/or Rear Wheels - (Aug 23, 2016"
I'm attaching a scan of that document. But if that doesn't work, just take your car to your local dealer and I'm sure they can find it with the information I posted here.

Had on my left rear tire, would make noise when I press the gas. Pulled off wheel, used a wire brush and cleaned the mating surfaces and voila.

Drifting
Just had this appear at 5300 miles. It's obvious whatever coating is on the top of the rotor is breaking down. Looks like zinc. After you clean your wheels and rotor you will see that the dark spots left on the rotor are actually shallow voids where the coating transferred to the wheel.
Happened during a nice day ride in the mountains. After looking for rocks or a nail I suspected a bearing or stab link/suspension part.
Kind of ruined the ride because the noise was pretty loud and it occurred at high and low speeds but thanks to the forum I found the tsb and its fixed till next time

This looks like some of the coating on the rotor frets away between the interface. It's pretty obvious once you pop the wheel off. Just clean the wheel down to the aluminum and clean the crap off the rotor. Bolt it back together and torque to spec.
Mine was really loud - I mean loud. I thought that I had a bearing that had failed and wasn't growling or a really bad sway bar link(s). I was up in the mountains on twisty roads and it was a bit frustrating. When I got home I had it fixed in about 20 minutes including reading the bulletin once the car cooled down.
Good time to check, clean and rotate side to side - (at least my Stingray tires go side to side - don't know about the Z06).
