Default Black smoke Z06

I have a 2016 Z06 automatic, I've been told by friends that they have noticed some black smoke from the exhaust when I accelerate hard from a stand still, is this normal? Performance wise, it feels strong!

some type of power enrichment probably. but that's what kills the cats.. warranty? i wouldn't be concerned, these computers are very sensitive if something is going on "not designed to do" you'll be tipped of to the check engine light.

When you're standing on it, it's burning fuel! (and they are set to run a tad rich). Mine does the same. Rejoice in the unleashing of whoop a$$!

To the OP here you should be good here. But if it get to look like you are spraying to kill bugs from it that is a diff story. Car is burning fuel running rich like these other guys have said.. Robert

All cars put out black smoke when initially at 100% throttle. Some more than others. Your Z06 can dump a ton of fuel so it's more pronounced.
