Default Airbag software update vs aftermarket tune?

im planning on installing an E force supercharger and its tune in the next few weeks. I also just got the safety recall for the airbag software update. It looks like I won't be able to get an appointment at the dealer for a while.
My question is will the Edelbrock super charger tune be affected in anyway by the GM airbag software update?

Good question since I have an E-Force on my car. I was wondering the same thing.

Thanks for the answer Higgs Boson.

I was wondering the same thing. I got the recall notice the day I dropped off my car to get the E Force installed.

Just as Higgs stated: No change to the ECM. I verified it with HPTuners. It is just a reflash of the SDM.

Not to hijack, but does having the infotainment screen replaced require a flash of the ECM? I have an appt. to have that replaced and the airbag recall performed at the same time. Not sure if they are going to try the flash first to fix the screen (which doesn't work) or just replace the screen on this visit.

My screen will flicker and then roll so that you can't change channels via the touch screen. It also become very distracting when driving. Oddly enough, I saw someone here post that honking the horn when it does this will make it stop and I'll be damned if that doesn't work!

Mine FINALLY goes to the dealer tomorrow for that and the airbag recall.
