Will a 305 30 R20 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 safely fit a stock Z51 rim?
Hey guys! I think I have necked into the PSC 2s since they are such nice tires. The 305s have a good used market that I can tap into to reduce costs but I see that the 305 has a recommend tire width range on Tirerack of 10.5"-11.5". It seems that this might cause higher strain on the tire sidewall when taking corners at high speed on the track.
Does this present a track risk and I should go down to a 295?
Plus the Michelin PSCs seem to run a bit wider than some of the other brands.

I just mounted 295/30/20 Cup 2s on stock rear z51 wheels. 255/35/19s on stock z51 front rims. Fit looks fine, but I would not feel comfortable going any larger on stock rims. I'm at stock ride height and hoping no rubbing issues.

This is the other option I am looking at. How many miles do you have on them? Any track time?

Not exactly the same but...
I run 265/35-18 and 305/30-19 on 8.5" and 10" wheels (base size) at the track without issue using Bridgestone S007A tires.

Mounted 305/30 PS2's on stock 20 rims.
Slight rub drivers side only that I cleared by grinding clearance in plastic liner.
Have run & raced this combo 2 years with no problems.
