Default Who has the best canned tunes?

Bout to have 2" kooks long tubes and a cat delete x pipe installed on my grand sport and im contemplating whether going with an intune and a canned tune or dyno tuning. What do you guys recommend? Does diablo sport have tunes that come with the tuner? Is a dyno tune really worth it at this point my car will only have the exhaust no other changes from stock at this point.

Yes, you'll have to but the tuner and then have someone develop a tune for you to upload after the fact for an additional cost. You'd be better off doing a real tune....dyno or street tune using HP Tuners.

Why are you going with 2 inch headers for unless you going to go big CI motor with a big blower also. No more ci 1 7/8 tubes is more than enough for these N/A motors.

Also sorry you didn't get what I was telling you in the above post. Maybe you got it with Elite 275 post..

I was at work then and it is just a hit & a miss Good luck on the car.

I hear 2" makes the most power on every setup.

I can tell you it needs to work together like a fine tune swiss watch. Just like putting the biggest cam in the world in a small motor with small stock heads on the car.

I will tell you this you will loss tq & hp down low mid range will gain some back then on the top end just a waste on those size of tube.

I would put you money on a N/A LT1 motor it will make more with the 1 7/8 runners. Plus down low will make more even with the 1/3/4 tubes. Robert

If this was all I was going to do on the car I would wait and go with these guy & get the trinity t-1000 on the car. Then get them to do the fine tuning on it. These guys really know what they are doing.

I will tell you this on a tuner off the street every dam one of them will tell you no problem. Then you wish you had never done it are took the car to them. This motor is a diff set totally from the LS set up. Robert

Your car will run fine with the LT headers and bad cats off the car. Just run a little leaner is all with that said these cars run a little rich anyway.

I put LT headers & pulled the back cats off my car with 3 inch mid pipe and then Borla AKTA NPP cat back, Also ported intake & T.B. & cold air intake also. My car is a 2014 I put the Trinity T-1000 on the car. Car ran like a dream no problems at all. Plus I had to take the car in for service work put the car stock tune back on the car NO problems at all from them. This is the only tune that the dealer cant tell nothing has ever been chg with the pcm.. Robert

I'd love the trinity t-1000 but i really have no use for the extra apps, and moneys kinda tight. I just need to be able to flash the car multiple times as i progress with upgrades. I think im just gonna have the parts installed with no tune, order the intune from diablo and wait till the 17' tunes are available.

This is on sale right now for $360, tunes included. Even though the tunes aren't ready for the 2017 right now, perhaps they'll be ready by the end of the month when the sale goes off.

you will still need to purchase a custom tune for your mods of headers/no cats or high-flow cats...

Trust him, he knows what he is talking about. 1 3/4" headers in my (430 hp) LS3 2010 Grand Sport ran 125 MPH in the 1/4. I'm in the C6 fast list as Grand Sport Man, check it out.

Oh, and see who's "canned" tune I was running!!

Lew has tuned all my GM modded cars. He does an outstanding job with his custom tunes. You will not be disappointed with his tunes and his service.

The 1 7/8" might make a little more torque down low but it would be negligable, i'd rather run 2" and if i end up going big power in the future i'll have the pipes for it. Besides im not worried about low rev power, your not at 3-4k when your going WOT anyways.
